Crystal-clear, slightly straw-yellow to the sight, citrus-scented to the nose, with hints of orange, grapefruit, white acacia flowers and orange blossoms. To the palate, a lively, fresh foretaste is followed by a savoury and pleasant finish. The following specialties are ideal matches for the typical pleasantness of this “DOC” (CDO) wine.

Wine-and-food matching tips from the Sommelier

– “Casciotta d’Urbino DOP”: a pecorino (ewe’s milk) cheese obtained by century-old dairy techniques (“DOP” stands for “protected designation of origin”, PDO)
– Italian charcuterie products made with pork such as pancetta and lardo (cured lard)
– “Ciauscolo IGP”: a typical traditional spreadable salami of the Marches (IGP stands for “protected geographical indication” or PGI)
