HISTORY OF THE VINE VARIETY
This vine variety used to be called “Garofanata” by old vine growers, who associated it to a plant or flower looking like it, the “garofano” (carnation) and was also grown in their gardens. This variety was cited in the 1960s by the local ampelographer (vine variety expert) Prof. Bruno Bruni, as a sub-variety of White Muscat grapes. Anciently, it was grown in the valley formed by the Misa river close to the Suasa village, straddling the two provinces of Ancona and Pesaro. It had almost totally disappeared when the winery decided to start a project for the revival of old cultivars based on modern techniques for a glorious past not to be forgotten.

ORGANOLEPTIC PROPERTIES
A crystal-clear gold colour to the sight. The nose is immediately impressed by flowery scents of carnation, violet and overblown rose, with citrus-fruit and spicy hints. The wine makes a similar strong impression in the mouth for its acidity and medium body.
