Dinner in the vineyard with Pergola Doc

Every Wednesday in July 2013 Cantina Terracruda will make you taste the best wines combined with typical cuisine of the area restaurants, who will alternate in individual appointments. The dinners will take place between the rows of vines, where you can immerse yourself in the taste and smell of our countryside for a unique sensory experience.

This summer we decided to bring you directly in our vineyards with low environmental impact, the roots of the company, there where our wines are born. In the Vigna Pianelli, in Fratte Rosa, a few hundred meters from Cantina Terracruda, you can taste and smell our wines paired with traditional cuisine.

The first event is scheduled for Wednesday 3 July 2013, all 20.30, with an evening that is a tribute to the nearby town of Pergola. In tasting the wines of the youngest Appellation d'origine of the province of Pesaro and Urbino: the Pergola Doc, in Red and Rosé versions.

At the stove, or rather to “focone” Stefano Ticchi, dell’Osteria del Borgo di Pergola, who studied a menu able to enhance the organoleptic characteristics of the Pergola Doc.

It begins with a Marche appetizer made with grilled vegetables, eggplant, zucchini, Onions Sweet & Sour, prosciutto, cheese and the inevitable piadina, to eat with “codazzo” the winery Terracruda, Pergola in Doc Rosato version. Color dog rose petal with bright reflections, and an outpouring of perfumes: the aromas are intense with a dominant bouquet of small red fruits, but also pleasantly floral, with hints of forest flowers.

It continues with a bis of arrosticini mutton and lamb on the grill, cooked directly on the grill. Not already feel the smell of meat on the grill?! To accompany your palate an explosion of flavors “Ortaia” Pergola Aleatico Doc Superiore, aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Bright ruby ​​red with purple reflections, great aromatic complexity, both smell and taste, which it is expressed with notes ranging from spicy to floral scents, like pink and purple dried, and it evokes red fruit essences of the undergrowth. The taste is full and aromatic, well balanced, thanks to its red tannins, in the mouth sensations of softness and roundness.

Our sweet bottom la Visciolata, typical drink of Pergola area prepared with wild cherries and a selection of Pergola Doc, accompanied by traditional dry sweets, frog and tart.
